Re: Need Help.........
Well, now you have a new battery. Have someone, possibly Advance or Autozone check the charging system (alternator), because if it's not good, you'll just end up with a dead battery again.
Make sure the battery cable ends were cleaned good when the battery was replaced.
Now, barring any other problems you may have, go through the idle relearn procedure.
Since I don't have the specifics for your car, try this. Set the parking brake (I hope the brake works). Start the car and place it in drive. Let the engine run with the trans in drive until the cooling fan comes on. Turn off the engine, wait 30 seconds and repeat the previous steps. Do not leave the car unattended while performing this task.
If the idle relearn does not work, you may have problems elsewhere.
Some things to consider are dirty throttle body and idle air control motor. Clogged fuel filter or weak fuel pump. Does the check engine light come on while you're driving? Are the spark plugs in good shape?
Start with the basics I've given, and let's see where to go from there.
