Re: pass key

pass-key is anti theft. so that only a key with the correct resistor will alow the engine to crank and fire. electronic spark control module is in the distributor. where the two plugs connect.

is the pass key module for use with security upgrade or something, cause this camaro was stollen and they broke the steering column so they could push the linkage that moves the slide switch to the start position. also, i have a white plastic module under the dash, kind of a white clear plastic with 2 connectors going to it. it's about 3 1/2 inches wide, 1/2 inch thick. what is it?

Re: pass key

passkey is the security, its the antitheft device its self. i find it hard to beleive that they got it started without a proper resistor to insert into it. it wouldnt start. as far as the other module, ill have to look tomorrow.
