you have to look at 3 cables. If you search for my user name I have in the past posted the wire colors for our vans.
This is a guess but they will be Yellow, Red, and Black.
Make sure the Red has 12v at all times and the yellow when the Key is ON. Lastly make sure the Black is a Good Ground. All you will need to do this is a Muly-Meter.If you don't have one you can use a Bulb and just run two wires to it. When it lights you have power....
Anyway, if all 3 of these cable test come back good. it would be the radio is where the problem is.
One last thing... if the issue is when you are driven, that it cuts out. it May be a severed wire, so when you hit a bump the continuaty is lost.
