Aftermarket Support for SOHC ZCGTR...GTR...GTR 03-13-2004, 02:27 AM What kind of aftermarket support is there for the SOHC ZC motor? Other than the usual i/h/e GScivic7 03-13-2004, 06:20 AM I think that a lot of the parts that work with the D16A6, the 4th gen EX/Si motor, will work with the SOHC ZC. Don't quote me on this though. You know what you should do. Find out if you can stick a VTEC head on that motor. It's a non-VTEC motor that has almost as much HP as the D16Z6 and Y8, so with a VTEC head, you should see quite a nice boost in HP. GTR...GTR...GTR 03-13-2004, 03:51 PM You know what you should do. I'm gunna check into that. GScivic7 03-13-2004, 09:17 PM Did a little research and I think it's possible, that motor looks exactly like my old D16A6 motor. And the ZC motors are more or less JDM D16 motors. I've read that ZC motors have a better flowing head than the D16's, so you might not get as much hp as you'd like to see, or even may lose some hp, but it's not something not worth looking into IMO. BullShifter 03-14-2004, 09:57 AM That's correct, you can use D16A6 parts. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
