Thumbs up High RPM tran slip, slowly dying front transfer case

what's crakin, new here so here's my situation. got an 87 s10 blazer bout 3 months ago from a friend, $200. 60k on engine and trans, 170k on rest. new mud tires, put a new rear end, new leafs, few things, few bucks. well i'm gettin insurance late next week. and now major shit is going wrong. any help would be appreciatedon either one. my trans, starts fine. certianly isnt a race car. but passing gear, like when you floor the pedal, its supposed to bring your rpm's up, well it sounds like my trans is slipping when i do that. almost as if it revs too high and doesnt shif and keeps going, but the car doesnt. but it does it at any speed. thats my main issue. it hasnt happened lately, but in the 400 miles i've put on this car messing with it, it worked properly maybe 5 times.. the 4 wheel drive worked when i got the car. than it started to work sometimes, sometimes not. than the "4x4" light wouldnt come on. than it just stopped working. checked fluid, fine. dif case is where it stops working. hoping its a leak in my hoses, but checked today not them. any idears?
