Angry 02 Silverado HD2500 w/ 8.1 that burns oil

Anyone know if this is typical for this particular model. That's what my dealer keeps telling me. It has burned oil since I drove it off the lot. At 3000 miles it is normally at least 2 quarts low. Doesnt register on dipstick.

Welcome to the Club Bud! :o) Mine burns about 1.5 - 2 quarts at 3000 also. My friends burns one quart at 3000. My dad's burns 1.5 at 3000 miles. They run strong, so I can't complain.

Check your pcv valve, if it rattles when you shake it then you need to change it to the new style that helps reduce oil consumption.
