DW,

If you are looking for a new one try this. If you have had you Silverado worked on at a local dealer, call their parts department and have them look up the part number for your console based on the VIN number. There are lots of variations in color according to my dealer and the only way to be sure it is right is from the VIN.

Once you have the part number go to www.gmpartsdirect.com and get a quote. The one I need is about $100 cheaper through them even when I have to pay the shipping.

I am about ready to buy one myself but I haven't figured out how the old one comes out. There is a single bolt on the driver's side but I can't get the passenger's side mount to let go. Do you know how this works?

Re: center jump seat

I would guess it mounts similiar to the center consoles. In which case the base bracket is held in place by the seat bolts on each side.

Re: center jump seat

I would like to get the kind of seat that has the cuholders in the middle, instead of the swing-down dash mounted kind. I also cannot find a piece to cover the place in the dash after I remove my cupholder??

Jeverett,

Be sure the seat mounted cup holders are what you want before you install them. I know four different people who have the seat mounted holders and all of them complain about how awkward the reach for you drink is. Most have told me they wish they had the dash mount. Try and find someone who has one, sit in the driver's seat and judge for yourself.

I was able to get the local Chevy dealer to show me how the jump seat back comes off. On the passenger side you pull lose a piece of the fabric that is held on with a clip and channel arrangement. The fabric hides the two bolts that have to be removed.
