Calling All Certified Mechanics!!!!

Well guys the worst i can think of has happened. After my last thread was posted i started hearing a new magical sound underhood. Today my worst fears were comfirmed, A rod or rod bearings are gone. I need the best idea on either buying a Crate motor(most power least expensive), rebuild what i have or what? I really need the most experienced thoughts here, or some out-of-the-box thinking. Now I also have a 93 s-10 blzer with a 4.3 vortec in it and i could possibly Buy a new crate for my big truck, then rebuild and install in the s-10. Any thoughts guys?

I want a 350 TBI Crate for my 2500. I would like it complete top to bottom. I have a friend trying to get intouch with a Mechanic who says he can build me a Crate 350 with 375 hp and 350 ftlbs torque for 2200 bucks. Is that a good price and can i do better?

Please guys any help will be great. I thank you all in advance.

That Is A Good Price For That Motor. If I Were You And Had The $ Then I Would Just Get The Crate Motor And Maybe Sell Some Of The Parts On Your Old Motor Or Keep Them For Extra Parts. Yeah You Can Make A Non Tbi Into A Tbi But I Think It Is Too Expensive For The Gain Your Gunna Get Unless You Like To Play On Rocks. Go For The Crate Motor
