i was looking for a new car and i cant decide between the ease of a automatic trans. and the fun of a manual so i decided to pick a car with steptronic transmission. since i want a wider choice, i was looking for a list of all the new cars that have steptronic transmission. your help is greatly needed!!:)

I hope your ready to spend around $30,000, or at least $27,000

I've either driven in or have been driven in all of these
Acura TSX
Acura TL
Most Audis
Just about every BMW can get Sportronic for an extra $1,500
Infiniti G35

Mitsubishi Eclipse for 00+ gives you the option of a sportronic transmission which is AT and MT. The way you shift looks like this:

[] = shift wall
+ = Shift Gear Up
- = Shift Gear Down

Eclipse Spyders are also convertibles and come with a 147 HP 2.4L 4 Cyl 16 Valve Fuel Injection Engine GS, RS or a 210 HP V6 3.0L 24 Valve Fuel Injection GT and GTS. They can be modified to have 300+ Wheel Horse Power and that's HP at the wheels were talking about and not crank.

GS starts at around 18K new from dealer GTS goes for as much as $32K esp if you want a 04 Spyder GTS new

All trim lines have the sportronic transmission with the exception of the RS. So you can have automatic on the left hand side of the transmission and on the right you have complete electronic control of the gears.

Hope that helps

I guess this HTML is quite restrictive of spaces. Here's a much simpler diagram:

Shifttronic is another common term, but Most of them will shift after it redlines anyways so whats the point? Just stick to the manual, its not that hard. Just shift it into nuetral at the lights and I don't see what their is to complain about.

You forgot VW Jettas Passtas and GTI's also Preludes(98+). And no, you cant add this to a pre-exiting car... especially not American cars... maybe you could to old preludes... Try each individual forum for the experts to help u out there.
