1999sesport

Does the 1999 Contour Se Sport Come with a Factory AMP? I put a new JVC cd deck in it and it didnt work so i went to ABC warehouse and they sold me a harness for the system we plugged it in and the cd player had power but no sound......does anyone know why this is???if you do please let me know of any instructions for how to fix it. Any hints of any sort are appreciated. Does anyone know if the speakers in the car are good? Do they have decent sound?

same thing happened with my friends 1990 cougar. turns out they sold us the wrong wiring harness.

i have the 98 se sport and mine had a factory amp behind the glove box open it squeeze both sides of it and pop out the glove box it should be right behind it on the right its real little and crappy.
