i just want to know if there is any one on this forum thats in the west coast and drives a neon? I know neons are bigger in the east but not so much over here, mostly imports.

thats cool! I am from stockton california. I can acually count how many neon racers are here probably only 4. Are neons respected in those places such as canada and washington, because over here its just not there yet.

you beat a tibroun gt and a talon turbo by how many cars? were they mtx? Is you second gen mtx?

I'm 2nd gen atx, cai, exhaust, I beat the tibouron by probably a car, and the Talon was nose to nose, but I took him in the end. the 2003's and up have a new 4speed auto, huge differance, I can take on 2003 mtx's up to 60 then they slowly overtake.

LMAO, The Neon is the Domestics wack at the import scen. It is a domestic import. Worst of all its a Neon. Yes the SRT-4 is nice, especialy in black, but come on. Ive beat Neons in my 88 Prelude.

Just because you beat a neon doesnt mean its wack or just because you beat one doesnt mean you could beat them all. I beat honda, nissans, mazdas, fords, chevys, ect... the list goes on but I still have respect for those cars, weather I win or lose. but I dont have respect for guys that drive cars that are over arrogant and too cocky, because the fact of the matter is even if you beat those guys they have too much pride too shut there mouths and it still opens like 7/11!

O i know i cant beat all Neons, infact i have lost to a couple as well. My point is, the reason y Neons get no respect is because the Neon is the Domestic markets atempt to make an import car.
I think that is quite intresting how the Domestic market wants to become part of the Import scen. Tehy should have gone back to the muscle cars. That would have been more accepted than making a little import.

thats true too, the only things out in the after market world for neons are unfortunately thing that are also sold for imports because of the reason being in a sport compact class, comparing to others such as civics, integs, saturns, cavis, ect.... and the list goes on. it just gives the aftermarket world more business when they sell more of a variety of products to different kinds of cars.

tore down is an under statement, that car is sheet metal. its going to take alot of time and effort to build that beast again and getting to run better times.
