I don't know if this is even allowed on this forum, but here goes...

I'm selling my '96 VW Jetta Trek for $2,500. It's a 2.0, 4 cyl, 5-speed, with close to 110,000 on it. The car runs EXCELLENT. We just took it on a 400+ mile road trip last weekend and it ran perfect!

The transmission was replaced at about 35,000 (previous owner, so I don't know the whole story on that-only that there are NO issues with the transmission NOW), and this car looks SHARP-It's been painted a high glossy black (also by the previous owner), has the fin, the antennae on the back of the roof, and a European plate. The interior is black w/ a sport design on the seats.

Just had the timing belt replaced & ignition coil, along with some other minor work. Brakes can use replacing, and I believe there a leaky wheel cylinder somewhere. Tires will need to be replaced relatively soon---depending on how much driving you're going to do. The stereo isn't great & that should probably be replaced as well.

I've had some posts on here with various problems during the last couple months, and they've all been taken care of. My husband is willing to do the brakes for the cost of the parts as well as a minimal labor charge (much less than a garage would charge) if the person buying prefers to do it that way.

We've simply outgrown this car (we have 3 kids & they keep growing!) and can't really afford to have 3 vehicles on the road right now. If I know of an issue with this car, I will disclose it. If there is one thing I HATE, it's buying a car just to find out it has a MAJOR problem-and I will NOT do that to someone else. Feel free to email me at teenie@usadatanet.net if you're interested...I'll send ya pics if you like.
