Accuracy of MPG on Trip computer

Hi,

I just got a 2004 SR5 V6. I have only filled it 5 times, but I notice that the trip computer has a high reading for the miles per gallon. I reset it each time I fill up and check the mpg by gallons put in divided by miles since last fillup.

My display shows around 20 mpg and I am actually getting a little less than 19. Is this normal?

Yes, it is well known that the trip odometer lies. Use the vehicle odometer for estimating gas mileage, or better yet, use mileage markers on the highway.
