I've been thinking

i have been looking at JWT's website alot and was wondering if anyone has his cams and springs. your suppose to go up to 7200 with em. and can you get valves and head internals for the spec yet? i want to do over my head with port and polish and get new internals if i need em.
let me know if you have heard anything or know someone who does know.
thnx

i guess i should elaberate. i am going to stay NA. i dont want a turbo, super charger or even nitrious. so should i try to raise my compresion too. and is the jwt header just as good as the hotshot or nismo. I found the jwt header for about 375 which is about the same as a hotshot.

i don't recall hearing of anyone raising there rev limiter or compression in a spec. i mean, you wouldn't benefit from doing so without a lot of other changes.

a couple people that i know of have built up internals in order to run 350 whp from a turbo. i don't really know the details of this though.
you say your not going f/i route, so you don't need to new valves and stuff do you? the QR is not a feeble engine like some make it out to be. 230 whp should not pose any problem on stock internals. besides, so far no one has hit 200 whp NA. close, but not 200.

JWT has quality products for sure. plenty of people have the cams. As for headers, i know for a fact that stillen, aebs, hotshot, or nismo give about a 10-15 hp gain. those four seem to be the most popular choices.

from what i know by driving my car it doesnt seem to drop off at the top of the factory rev point. so by getting the cams and springs and have jwt tune my ecu i could hopefully get a little more out of the engine.

i didnt know that no one has got 200 whp out of em yet. thats realy only 55 whp or so. not a whole lot, but there isnt much out yet as far as parts. i want all the pulleys too but i am not a millionare. so i am doing what i can
