mods and money

i have two questions this time. how much power and what can i get my 1/4 mi. time down to w/ aftermarket: boost controller, uppipe, downpipe, cat-back exhaust, blow off valve, fuel pump, plugs....and stock turbo, engine, and tranny?

secondly, what would i have to do to get the WRX into high 12 sec. 1/4 mi. times?

Re: mods and money

I have my car down to 13 flat with less than that slightly. I have a catlesss up and downpipe, no exhaust on when i race besides the before mentioned, 110 octane, boost set at 15.5 lbs, AEM cai, 9 lbs flywheel, stage 2 racing clutch, fartboy short throw shifter, ZR tires, GFB BOV, Greddy Profec B boost controller, and a MRT Boost cut defender. Also to the latest question, its best to have a UTEC chip and boost controller. The utec will allow you to set boost, fuel air ratios and other small tuning things. The boost controller will allow you to boost past your setting on the utec. Dont wanna be retuning the car for street and race all the time.

Re: mods and money

you can hit high 12's w/out changing out the turbo. I think the MAJOR factor will be an upgraded chip though.

Re: mods and money

My method is kind of crued and not too reliable. Getting a stand alone ECU and new fuel system to help with higher boost will put you in the 12's pretty good but you will want a new turbo so you dont over stress the stock one.
