what up yall!!!!
Man, it's been a while since I've been on here, I've kinda missed all of you. Been a bit busy lately, opened up a business building and rebuilding engines, and doing some engine related repair work. Pretty good money. Today I started tearing out a 4 banger out of a 91 ford ranger. Man I tell ya, when ford does something they really don't think about us at home/ small shop mechanics do they? Wow, I about but a bullet through the whole damn thing. Don't know how often I'll be on here, but I'll try to check in more often than I have been. And if anyone's in the Jacksonville, FL area and needs some motor work, rebuild, or want a custom built engine done, just give me a holla, I'll beat any ones, and I do mean anyones price. Later yall.

Re: what up yall!!!!
Hey there paying me to get all greasy. What can I say...LOL Well I can take any motor apart and put it back together again, but I can't afford the tools for some of them high cars. Plus I'm sure I'd have the deer in the headlights look while I'm trying to dismember, I mean dismantle the motor. LOL

well the 924 is a more-less standard inline four, along with the 944 which is a beafed up 924 driveline with a slightly different tranny but same basic engine but a little tuned. the 968 also ran an inline 4 but that was highly tuned compared to the 924 and 944. what you guys were talking about with the pancake 4 comment is actually refered to as a flat 4 and it was used in the 914 and 912 and also i believe in the 356. the 914/6 and in the 911 and other such models derived from the 911 had a flat 6 which is basically just two more cylinders on a flat 4. but then again porsche also had had the 4.8L (i think that was the displacement) v8 that was in the 928 that hauled ass.
- i guess that's the porsche lesson for the day
(I feel akward posting this in a camaro forum)

Re: what up yall!!!!
Well yall, still looking for some more engines to perform surgery on. business is going pretty ok. Just finished up a job a couple days ago. Mostly just stock rebuilds. I want a custom job. Some one needs to send me a tired 350 that needs a lot of love. LOL I did however just finish a 400+hp 305, 335 stroker for those of you who get offended by me calling it a 305. It's amazing. This one is carbed, stuck a holley 700 vacum advance on top of an edelbrock performer rpm. she purrs. I need more like that. 4 cylinders are boring. Oh well. Just thought I'd check in on you guys and make sure your not starting any trouble. LOL
