BMW 525 purchase question

I'm new to the bmw world, but am looking at buying a 2001 525i w/ ~ 60K miles on it. The drive is great and my mechanic gave it a once over and found no problems. Should I be worried about the 60K miles on the car? Are there any known mechanical issues w/ the 5 series from 2001?

I'm a little nervous about the miles, but the price is right. Any thoughts?

Re: BMW 525 purchase question

a 5 series will do 200,000 miles with very little problem.

Go For It

If the price is right and everything else appears to check out - go for it!! 200,000+ miles on an E39 should be a slam dunk with routine love and care.

Drive hard.
