Breathalizer/Interlock device?

I picked up a 92' s10 Blazer for $500 that dad sat for a year because the owner parked it when it started acting up. Recently I found out that the problems starteed after he no longer needed to have a Interlock device on his vehicle and had his cousin remove it. What are the chances of this being the problem he had with the vehicle, and where do I start with diagnosing that type of problem?

Re: Breathalizer/Interlock device?

You need to find out where the installer interlocked the circuit. I guess it's possible that if it's not done properly it could mess up the computer. Automotive electric, by nature, can be a nightmare. That's why the people that actually have the patience to do it profssionally make so much money.
