i own a 90 c1500 . my problem with my truck is that when i go to start it ever time it takes a long time to turn over and start i think it might have something to do with the fuel system anyone got any ideas?
the fuel pump relay is located on the firewall. the relay is used to initially pressurize the system, once oil pressure builds up the pump circuit runs through the oil pressure switch.
It could be that your battery is getting weak. A starter will put such a draw on your battery that it will not have enough left to fire the ignition.
Electronic ignition requires quite a bit of voltage to operate. If your battery is old or even if it's not, you may consider having it checked or replaced.
Just a thought........
