Lightbulb

Heres a great way of getting some cold air for your intake to give you a few more ponies.
You go to your local marine store and buy what is called a Bilge Blower. This is basically a fan that is used to expell hot air from around boat engines. They are quite powerful and some look like a plastic turbo charger. I wired this up to my car(because they are 12v, like boats) and put it in front of the guard for the front left hand wheel. I then ran a pipe from this up to my air filter. When I turn this on, it sucks air from the front of my car up into my air filter. The air is really cold and gives more throttle response. Getting air from in front of the wheel is the best because it is denser, due to the spinning wheel forcing air in there.(That is why the air filter boxes have pipes going down there). This gives higher compression, as does cooler air, resulting in more horsepower. I have removed my standard air filter (and the miles of black boxes and associated piping) and put in a cone filter for this but I suppose you could connect it up to the standard box filter as well.

A bit more....

You guys in the states can get the bilge blower from west marine. The address is West Marine

It is a bit more expensive over there, Im not sure whether it would be worth it. In NZ we get some cheap Taiwan copies. Ill attach a picture of the bilge blower.:flamer: :badass:

Picture

Unfortunately dont have access to scanner or digital camera. Would if I could.
The bilge blower sits behind the front spoiler below the battery and in front of the left front wheel guard. There used to be a black box here where the old air filter setup was. This box had a pipe connecting it to the main air filter element box. I have used the hole that this pipe went through to run a pipe from the bilge blower to the air filter. The car has more throttle response, just like when you first drive it on a cold morning! Ill try to find a picture on the net that I can modify to show u guys

I wonder how much current does that blower draws. I actually thought about that idea. I was thinking that there is exhaust driven and belt driven force induction ( turbo and supercharger ) , How come there is no electrical driven force induction? One of my lead techinican said that to provide that much boost to the engine by and electic blower, it need to draw hell a lot of current.
