knowledge needed

A question for you all. I won a 92 and am doing a JDM swap. Now I know there is no way to tell if it is a 5efhe without looking at the pistons, but can anyone tell me Why my new intake is awesome. The stock intake has 4 medium lenght runners from the manifold. The JDM actually has 8 there are 4 long runners which look to be active all the time. Then there are 4 short runners that are actuated via vacuum from the throttle body. I am sure these open up for better top end and the long for better torque. My question is whether anyone has more info on this? Is this a giveaway of the 5efhe status? Either way I am glad to own such an intake.
