Fuel Pump Change for 97 SE

Hey, i have a 97 Grand Am SE two door. The Fuel Pump has bit the dust so to speak and it cost an arm and a leg to have it fixed, at least to my college student broke self I know you have to take out the gas tank, but i don't know what else, i think i have all the tools,jacks ect. but could someone please give me instructions, havn't ever done work back there, thx.

it's not that hard to do siphon all the gas out first to make it easier. unhook the fuel lines, evap hoses, filler hose, fuel pump&sender wiring. theres 2 bolts on straps that hold the tank in. once tank is out clean off the top so crap doesn't fall into it. theres a big metal ring that holds the pump module in. remove lock ring with a hammer and punch or big screwdriver by spinning it counterclockwise(i think) then everything will pull out. make sure you put a new fuel filter on and the pump has a new filter sock. not the easiest job but not too difficult. i'm a broke colledge kid too!! if you need further instructions e-mail me
