Can anyone tell me how to tell from the VIN or engine family number if its a 6 or 8 bolt engine.
The reason is my girlfriend knows of a 1989 camry in excellent shape, well...other than a thrown rod, for nothing.
I can't check in person but I do have the VIN and engine family number.
If Im correct I think they made the change in may of '89.
If not shes just gonna have to get under the car and see. ...heh-heh!
