Trunk Latch

My trunk releaes switch does not seem to work. What could be causing it? I've checked the fuses, and they're all okay.

Does anyone have an owners manual? I lost mine.

I have had to replace the trunk latch mechanism on my G as well. You'll need to buy the part from the dealer and you can install it yourself if you want, im not sure how i did it as it was so long ago...but it will help to get a service manual to look at it.

I believe the part is about $100-$150ish.

haha, my G has a lotta problems, but she's not really my car so I've never really delt with them. My trunk release is dead too, so send me any info you get on replacing it?

thanks!

It could also be the lifts on each side of the trunk. When their worn your trunk hood does not spring up like it should and that puts added pressure on the selenoid latch. It could be both. I replaced the lifts.
