Re: Ae86 Ae101???
It's all based on preference, and what type of turns you plan on taking. Ueo (the winner of the D1GP) is a awesome driver and alot of factors helped him win besides him being a badass drifter. like a couple of his aponents spinning out, besides the d1gp is mainly based on stlye and tequnique. AE86's at one time where the cheapest but now with a drift fad in effect they are no longer. another reason is that they are very easy to drive and drift, they are light and give the driver lots of feed back even though it has low hp figures also you must look at how much it weights, a stock ae86 can roast the hell out of the tires don't get me wrong though I wouldn't expect to do any high speed d1gp stuff out of a stock to lightly modified one but it is a great car to learn in. S chasis nissan cars are good cars lighter than most cars now days and have good power from the factory not to mention there availability.
Some info ae86/ae85 was the last rwd corolla GTS,SR5/trueno/levin. The ae85 was only in japan and the usa base rwd model the sr5 is chasis coded ae86 even though it carries all the traits of the ae85. all of the cars are basically the same though.
