what's up with my carfasteo_86 02-14-2004, 05:38 PM ok, i have been having rouble with the tranny in my 1990 corolla (4afe). as of now i have to manually shift the gears (even though it is ans automatic) it has been working fine like that until here lately, there is a HUMONGOUS delay when i put it into gear. also whenever i am on great inclines, i must creep up them, if i push the pedal too much it's like putting it into neutral. i'm guessing that i need a new tranny. anyone have any input that may save me from spending a chunk of change? thanx Miguel De Imagrent 03-23-2004, 12:33 AM look for a japanese engine rebuilding place and try to find a tranny there. it should run from 150-300 for a rebuild.
