they are both pretty much the same......one ( the spindles ) deals with your wheels and their placement, the coils just allow the front to sit down more. ive got a 2000 s-10. i've got belltech 2" drop spindles and 1" drop coils in the front and 3" blox in the back. basicaally i've got a 3" drop all around. the only other difference is the price difference and the availabilty of a spindle for the s-10 greater than 2".

droped spimdles maintain suspension geometry when dropping a car, cut coils limit suspension travel signifigantly, they are not the same at all.

I agree completely.

If you use cut coils, you will induce negative camber in the front wheels. This may not be bad from a handling standpoint, since it's frequently dialed-in by autocrossers, but it will cause uneven tire wear, wearing the inside portion of the contact patch much quicker. It will also induce bump-steer.

The proper way to lower a car is via dropped spindles.
