Angry Problematic Chevette

Something has gone wrong with my throttle on my Chevette. THe car will start but thats about all it will do. When i press on the gas to go nothing happens, no reving or anything. I would just like a little help with this. I have no clue what to do to fix it and i need it fixed because it is my only car right now. Other than this minor problem its a great car. I just hope someone will be able to give me a few pointers.

i fixed it. I remembered that the cause could be water under my distributer cap. I went out there and used my trusty Wd 40 and got the prob solved. My baby is running like a dream again.
