Anyone done this? Know where I could find some pics?
Also, anybody know if I can get for this model:
-Drop spindles
-lowering blocks/reset leafs (might knotch and coilover it though)
-brake upgrade?

Plan to run an 18RG and 5 speed (if anyone's interested).
I can't find any info though. lots of people seem to have done this to similar era Datsuns etc, but I have scant info on the lux.
I guess I could always buy a cheap 720 or D21 nissan...

you can buy drop blocks at any pep boys or shucks auto supply store for about 20-30 dollars

Heres a site with some pics of your model. Just scroll thru, there's hundreds of toyotas here(about 10 pages), couple of 80 models.

You can drop the front with the torsion bars. Put a standard drop block (Maybe 3" block)in the rear. Also you can remove one of the leaf springs (the middle band) to go even lower. Just make sure you remove the bump stops on the a-arms and on top of the axle if they are still there. With that you should be scraping the pavment.

man, I have built 3 mini's so far. I have done s-10's up until now. I just bought me a 93 toyota 2wd pickup, and its my next project truck.
Myself, I dont even piss around with dropping them, I am goin to bag and bodydrop it.

My advice to you, save up the money, and bag it. You can buy almost everyhting you need, requires some welding, but itsn ot too hard or anything.
I will show you my progress as it goes along, it will be a little while before I start the process though, I want to get the truck paid for before I build it.
