My wife came home today with the check engine light on and the car bellowing white smoke It runs fine, but it blows smoke something fierce! HELP!

Is it still under warranty? i.e. mileage, date? If so get to the nearest warranty repair dealer, check with the suzuki dealerships in your area.

what could be the problem be? I dont see the need to send someone to an expensive dealer to pay for a 200 dollar diagnostic if it tells him he needs a 50 dollar part. :)

Did you recently have an oil change? Check your oil level. The vehicle may have been overfilled with oil and the engine is trying to burn it off. Or, it could be an oil leak. Where is the smoke coming from? Engine area or exhaust pipe?
