Question K & N filter for the Boxster?

What is everybodys take on adding a K&N filter to a Boxster 2.5? Much performance gains? Not tight enough filtration? Is it worth the 50 bucks or so for this vehicle? Thanks for the input!

Re: K & N filter for the Boxster?

Its only going to give you 3-5hp gain. If you want real performance you'll have to spend around 5k for a stage 3 upgrade. you can get it at www.evoms.com/p%20boxster%20main.htm/
Once you do that upgrade, I also recomend a MSD CD Ignition box, and High Performance ignition wires.
you can find them at www.performanceproducts.com
I have done all these upgrade on my 2001 Boxster S, and it was dynoed at 326hp. Well worth it!

Check out BMC F1 airfilters. These are usecby ferarri in the F1 circuit. They are higher quality and won't foul you MAF like K&N filters.
