Tranny Cooler

Has anyone installed a transmission cooler on their GT? Was the installation tough? Not much room down there.

Re: Tranny Cooler

I've installed a "desert fox", sold by MSP. It took probably half an afternoon. The desert fox is the only kit that comes w/ everything needed for the install. Hoses, barbed fittings, zipties, etc.

My first question is where do you live?? Midwest - south -eastcoast- westcoast.

I had my GTP for 1.5 years when i lived in IL and had no reason to use a tranny cooler. I only installed one after I moved to Texas where my car was hitting 200+ deg. in traffic during the summer

Re: Tranny Cooler

In the owners manual it will give you the temp range for the trans.

I've always believed that anything over 210 was too hot, hence i go the desert fox. I've been told that over 220 and the fluid goes bad or starts breaking down.
