Need Help Please........Kruebbes 02-08-2004, 07:54 PM Today I ran across a convertible ss chevelle laid up for a million years in someone's yard. The owner claims it still has all of it's original stuff (numbers matching) including the 427BB. If my research is correct that would make it a 1969 COPO chevelle. There were just over 320 of them made. My question would be if any were made in convertible, and if so how would I go about finding out how many? Curious :) FortechMini11 02-25-2004, 11:57 PM didn't know they made any conv. COPO's a1supersport 02-26-2004, 07:21 AM I've seen SS convertibles, but have yet to see a 427 SS conv. Did you get the numbers off of the cowl tag, as well as the numbers off of the engine block? I may be able to decipher it up to a certain point, the 427 being the "sticking" point. Maybe it's one of those "special" cars, like a Yenko or something. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
