Maybe I've just had the pleasure of having kids who could do the impossible, but on at least 2 occassions they broke a cv joint (inner, if I recall correctly) so that part of the joint would move, making one heck of a racket, while the car was stationary on a Chrysler fwd. This was before I was smart enough to change the entire axle, and I did disassemble and reassemble the joint. Needless to say, it was a messy job, complicated by the foot of snow on the ground, streetside, where I performed the task. Fortunately, the kid got the car off the road directly across the street from my favorite parts supplier on a saturday night, and the place was open sunday mornings at the time and had the joint in stock. Impossible, you think? Guess again.
