I'm on a quest for info so that I turbocharge my VR6 as properly as I can with my limited budget. If you can help, please do so. I would rather not get a bunch of links to people that want to sell me stuff. Some people have got it all wrong. When you think about it, a turbo kit was designed by someone that has knowledge about turbos and the cars they will go on. Just build up your knowledge and try to do what you can by yourself, unless your rich and want to pay someone to work on your car. I've been researching turbos for about 4 months now and I've learned a hell of a lot. I've included some info on the website listed at the bottom.
I plan to design and weld my own piping for my system with the help of an experienced welder/mech. engineer.
Parts on ebay can be cheap and a good deal, but beware of shadiness. And for Canadians, remember that you may have to pay tax on goods, depending on how much the seller claims it to be worth.
SRY, enough ranting, here's what I've got so far:
TO4B turbo .96 turbine, .6 comp. - someone tell me what trim/model this is please????? ie: S3??
T-bird intercooler
SMT6 piggyback pc link
Here's what I plan to get:
- stainless piping locally
- clamps and silicone tubes probably from ebay..
- Greddy or HKS BOV and wastegate
- bosch 400-sih injectors
- Bosch inline fuel pump
Anything else hasn't been decided yet.
If you have turbo system pictures i could use them.
