J Spec Infoozzy619 02-06-2004, 04:13 PM hey guys had a quickie for you's leaving for Oki march 3rd and already lookin at 180's. the S13's I've looked at so far(actually called) the owner has no clue what he has. I know the 89's had CA18DET's. I thought the 91's and newer have SR's Is this correct? everytime I ask if it's a SR they say"Yea I think" even with the 89's So then I ask is the engine a "replacement"(using the word swap would have gotten a lie I'm sure) and of course nope it's the original engine to what he knows. Can someone send me a Fact sheet or point me to a thread or website thats got all the OEM info???:banghead: Fliquer 02-06-2004, 06:35 PM 88-90 had CA18dets, I believe the SR20 came out in 91. If it has a solid red valve cover or a solid black valve cover with white lettering, its a SR. If its a Black valve cover with a red strip that is slightly cantered (slanted) then its a CA18det.
