increasing the wrx 2.0L engine?

I was watching a Super Tuner episode and on it they had these aftermarket cylinders, rods, and some other stuff. These rods increased the skylines compression, unless I am wrong, from 2.4L to 3.0L. My question obvisously is if there is a setup that can increase the wrx compression of 2.0L. This has nothing to do with engine swapping a Sti into a Wrx.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I want to clarify some terminology. I think your talking about two different things.

The size of the engine (2.0L) refers to the total volume of all the cylinders. Changing the piston rods and/or heads, or boring out the cylinders to make them larger, changes the volume within each cylinder and therefore increase the 'size' of the engine. This will no doubt affect the compression rating also, which is why in the Skyline example the size AND compression rating changed. But, you can change the compression without changing the engine size.

Compression is how much pressure each cylinder can handle, and is a function of how good the piston rings and values are working. When the fuel mixture ignites in an engine with poor compression some of its power is being lost through small gaps in the valves and rings.

So you could bore out the cylinders, or change the pistons, to increase the size of your engine (expensive), which may or may not change the compression. Or you could just upgrade your valves and piston rings (less expensive) to increase compression.

Now to your question. Is there a setup that can increase the compression of your 2.0L? Do you mean you want to increase the volume of your engine? or Do you want to improve the compression?

Thank you for replying, but disregard the question.
