Stuck Accellerator!

Hey guys!

I just got a '01 Tundra w/56k miles on it a few days ago. I absolutely fell in love with the car until it tried to kill me.

I was driving on the freeway late at night, going about 60. I push on the accell. pedal to pass a group of cars, and the accellerator sticks! I push the brakes, but the car won't slow down - the engine is working like crazy. When I release the brakes, the car just starts speeding up.

Thankfully there weren't that many cars around me and I had some room to put the car into neutral and slow down. Some smoke came from under the hood after I stopped my car but I was happy I stopped.

What can possibly be wrong? Should I return the car to the dealer and forget about it, or should I make them fix it?

Any advice greatly appreciated!!

Reuben

dude if the truck is still under warranty take it back and get it fixed. I have never heard of the gas pedal sticking before. There is 4 tundras in my family and none have ever had problems like that.
