speaker installationnovice85 02-02-2004, 11:38 AM I want to purchase new speakers for my 94 camry because the factory speakers just aren't cutting it anymore. If I choose to get them professionally installed, it will tack on about 75 dollars to the price, and that's more than I can really afford. I would like to install them on my own, but don't know the first thing about how. My question is, is installation difficult (esp. for a beginner), and would it be worth my while attempting to do it on my own. If anyone could walk me through the basics, like removing the door panel, and disconnecting the old speakers, I'd appreciate it. I know I will have to buy accessories like a wiring harness, but don't know much beyond that. Thanks for any help. yotatechie04 02-15-2004, 01:27 AM I'm not really that familiar with the Gen3 Camry, although I figure it shouldn't be much more difficult to remove the door trim panel and speakers than it is in my Gen4. If you'd like, I can give you some instructions on how to remove the door panel based on the Gen4 design, and you can try and figure some of it out on your own with some help, or you can get some more exact information by snagging yourself a Hayne's manual from your local auto parts store and doing it completely by yourself.
