Hey skittles196
Dude you have a couple of probs!!
Ok first things first, BUY a NEW AFM, It's liable to be expensive but it has to be done, It's one of those things that is often learned the $ way and don't worry your not the first MR2 owner to do so!! I have heard LOT'S of storys where that happens, I myself did the same thing but luckly I didn't take it all the way off and clicked in time!!
Oh and are we talking US spec MR2 or J-spec?
2nd thing to do AFTER you have replaced the AFM is to put the STOCK BOV back on IF you still have it and see weather this fix's the stalling prob, my guess is it will!!
Again it's a common thing with MR2's as the car use's the air that the bov vent's back into the intake tube to adjust the air fuel mixture or something, can't remeber the exact technical terms etc. A day before I got my bov that vents out for the nice loud psshhhh I took of the tube that go's from the stock bov to the intake tube and blocked of the hole in the intake tube to see if it would work, it made a HUGE pssshhhh when I changed gears BUT if I was coming to a stop the idle would drop down an stall the car, some guys can't even start there 2's with that done!! BUT with my aftermarket one I haven't had any probs, theres a few things that have to be capped of etc, you can ask and search on:

And you will DEFINITLY find ALL your answers
Good luck!!
Cheers
