Re: Change transmission

In the US we have both, Dodge caravan and chrysler voyager. Pretty much the same car. I just got done pulling the tranny on my 94 grand voyager today. Took me about 4 to 5 hours to get it out all alone. It was alot easier than i thought it was going to be.

You have to pull the drivers side wheel, lower stut bolts, brakes and stuff to get the axle out. You can make it easier and take the other side out too. You also have to pull the starter and the front engine mount. Check all joints and wheel bearings while youre in there. I found the bearings on the passenger side where shot, along with a tie rod end.

Basicly, there isnt much to it other than unbolting and unplugging everything.

support the engine on top with a bar across the struts and front core-
support with chains to the engine /// torque converter MUST be re-
moved with transaxle assy/// not real tough to do IF you played
mechanic on other stuff /// are you re-building yourself?? if so weld
the pin to the cage on the differential ,,,,, this will stop the case from
granading when the roll pin falls out !!!!
