Cold Weather Blues - 1999 PassatEsox67 01-29-2004, 07:32 PM Am I alone in the cold of MN with the problem of getting my car to start? It gets around 1-5 degrees, and there is a definite change in attitude with my car. Then, yesterday, with below zero temps, my car made a very pathetic attempt to start and said "NO THANKS". It is currently sitting at the dealership courtesy of a local towing service. The battery did not sound like the problem, it sounded like the engine was getting no gas even though it had a half a tank. Anyone else having problems ? Am I asking too much from my car? Any cold weather starting tips? Thanks for any input. Esox67 bogdan_d31 11-20-2006, 06:14 AM I had the same problem with my '00 passat. but it was I'm pretty sure it's the battery. Did you try a new battery? Another problem I had was that I got a very bad fuel with a lot of water in it and it kind of freezed or something....but in the end I managed to start it. When you fix it tell me what was the problem. Bogdan Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
