1.8t k04?

hi my daily driver is a 1.8t, wanted to get a bit more out of it, k04 seems to be the thing to do bringing power up to around 230hp, but does anyone know what boost pressures it runs at? i have a non-standard 20 psi intercooler here, wondering if thats enuf?
also is there any extra plumming needed to oil feed etc?

just want to know how involved this is

apparently 1.8t brakes r still good for these upgrades, any one know this? or agree or should i be looking for some brake kit, the 2.7t kit is pretty expensive, i think around £2500 (yes i'm in the uk) which i'd guess is around $3500, i hear APracing can custom build them for half that, i'm sure plenty of you will know this, thanks

Re: 1.8t k04?

You will need to be running software with the k04 if you wanna see 230hp. This means your boost will probably be close to 21psi. However, with a manual boost controller, you can adjust the boost to whaever you wish it to be.

I believe the oil lines, etc are the same as stock since it's very similar to the K03 you already hav.

The K04 is a pretty simple swap in. There are a lot of kits that come with software, piping, lines, etc that you need. I belive apr has one now, neuspeed, and a few other companies.

Your brakes should be adequate to handle that kind of hp/torque. You may wanted to get slotted/drilled rotors rather than getting a costly new brake system but, bigger brakes can't hurt.

Re: 1.8t k04?

nice one. i was thinking about the apr software, seems secure, runs a couple of program. i'll make sure the rotors are drilled, as there is a company here offering larger brakes, i await their info.
thanks for your help
