how do i verify the history of my 71 chevelleringmasster1 01-25-2004, 02:54 AM I always hear people say they have a verified history with a build sheet and other stuff. I want to know what the original options were, where it was sold, and if possible who bought it? a1supersport 01-26-2004, 04:17 AM http://www.chevelles.com should be able to help you out a little...or maybe a lot. Go to this site and scroll down, on your left side, you can either click on "resto shop", or scroll down more and click on "1971". If you have the number/letter codes from your cowl tag, you should be able to decipher it. Did you check in the seats for the build sheet? It's usually stuffed in the backrests, but may also be in the seat cushions. Once you find that, that's your key to your car's history :). DGB454 01-26-2004, 06:05 AM As far as finding out who sold and bought it isn't there a way to do a title search? a1supersport 01-26-2004, 01:34 PM http://www.kbb.com (Kelley Blue Book), and scroll down until you see "Tools-Tips-Advice" in brown letters. At the bottom of that paragraph click on "vehicle history". You'll need your VIN number handy, and enter that in the box :). DGB454 01-26-2004, 04:14 PM Cool...I'll have to try that on my car too. ringmasster1 01-26-2004, 10:33 PM Car Fax is the title search and it won't work with my VIN. It tells me that there are not enough numbers? Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
