Rebuild: 1988 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe

This car turned into shambles after it was "complete" So far i've repainted it (same color, just "better"-not clear coated yet) I also added a pair of GT Turbine wheels

Hmmm..just..maybe..

Re: Rebuild: 1988 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe

These cars were some of the best in their day. They made sub-16 second passes all day long at the drag strip. That was enough to blow the same year GT and eat the TBI 305 Camaro's. Not bad for a 3700 pound 4 banger, eh? 190 HP and 270 lb ft..

I got some nice polished "straight pipes" They kind of look like the 80's-93 Mustang LX 5.0 exhaust
I also drilled out the holes with my knife and pin vise

I swore with a car that sweet, it would be a v8 turbo.
