Question Service Engine Soon Light

I have just recently replaced the engine on my 1996 Plymouth Voyager. I am now getting the service engine soon light on. Had my professional mechanic check the onboard computer and he is getting a code of P0703. He doesn't have the manual that shows what exactly this means, but I am told that it has to do with a brake switch. Called my local dealer and he tells me that it could be many things and wants me to bring it in for a check-up. Don't really want to get soaked with the $$$ charges if this is something simple my local mechanic can correct. Is there anyone out there that can shed some light on what code P0703 (Brake Switch) means. Thanks - Jim

that sounds to me like you have a bad switch...for the cheapness of a new switch i would replace it since it reads in conjuntion with the ECC,electronis control computer ie: the brain
