I have been working on my neighbors van for her and being from a GM background am having trouble figuring out her problem. Two months ago fuel pump went out and I replaced it no problems. Now it's doing it again, dont hear pump,no pressure or fuel at fuel rail, rolls over and has spark. Have checked for voltage at the four prong plug under the drivers side behind door for fuel tank and dont get anything. Any help would be really appreciated. At this point just trying to fix it so she can sell it.

Thanks

there will only be power at the pump for a few seconds after turning the key on unless the engine is running or cranking. Hook a test light up and crank the engine while watching the light it should light up while cranking...

You did not mention if you checked the fuse. There should be a relay involved also. I have seen relay contacts get damaged and not pass the voltage after a fuel pump failure..

Thank you for the replies, will check for voltage while cranking, fuse is ok, however cannot find a relay location in Haynes for it, and the parts store don't list one for it.

Anyone have any idea where the realy would be located for the fuel pump?

I have some images of locations for you but I can not post them. Send me email and I will attach them to reply.
