Question instrument panel not working on '97 T&C

Yesterday the instrument panel failed to work on our '97 T&C. The fuel guage, temp guage, speedo, and tach all fail to work. The "door ajar" light is also on. It worked fine the night before, but on the way to drop the kids off at school, I noticed that nothing was working.

The warning lights on the upper level panel (oil sensor, ABS, etc.) work fine and all the information on the overhead console is correct. Just the aforementioned guages and one light fail to work properly.

I've checked all the fuses (both under hood and under dash) and nothing has been blown; I'm really hoping that it's not the computer that has failed. Haynes/Chilton manuals were no help here.

Anyone have any ideas???

Found the problem! The main cable going to the under-hood fuse box was rubbing against the metal bracket that the fuse box mounts on. Can we say poor electrical layout?? It had rubbed the sheathing off the cable and had broken one wire (the one supplying power to the instrument panel.) So I fixed that and cut a section of rubber hose and put it over the bracket to help prevent such events from occurring in the future.
