Passport StallingMhoward74 01-21-2004, 11:16 AM I have a 98 Passport auto 3.2L that is stalling when I am stopped at a light or a stopsign. The cart runs fine at speed, but idle drops to around 400RPM, or quits unless I give it juice in neutral. Starts fine after it stalls, but idle drops? Anyone think of what this might be? thanks gunnmen01 01-23-2004, 10:35 PM Intake gaskets ill bet, that seems to be the major problem with passports... gunnmen01 mwkirchner 02-29-2004, 10:10 AM I would have to agree that the intake gaskets are probably the problem you are experiencing. We have been running across these a lot lately here at the dealership. kcorry 04-02-2004, 04:59 PM Hey Guys, Newbie to the site..great information. I am having the same issue with stalling. It has been happening for about a month now, and now that I know it is the Intake Manifold Gasket, the better I can troubleshoot and reapir the gasket. I had a couple of questions, if anyone can help. Do you guys know of a good and reputable online parts distributor? I need to replace the power window switch in my 2000 Passport without going through the dealer. I appreciate the help everyone. Kev gunnmen01 05-19-2004, 06:48 PM good luck on those gaskets...cuz they suck to do.... gunnmen01 lorunner 05-31-2004, 07:41 PM good luck on those gaskets...cuz they suck to do.... gunnmen01 Really, i think they are pretty easy takes me about 45 minutes to do. I can actually make money on the warrenty ones. As for the other question that kcorry had i dont think you will find a windo switch outside of the dealer. You can check the local parts store first to see if they are a dealer only item and if they aren't then i would begin the hunt. gunnmen01 07-01-2004, 10:29 PM try a junkyard for the window switch, and lorunner... ill be sure and send you all the damn passports, you can have em............ lol gunnmen01 lorunner 07-06-2004, 05:02 PM No i don't want them i have my own share. :uhoh: gunnmen01 07-08-2004, 06:55 PM aawwww come on... a few more wont hurt...lol Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
