Security Light/Won't Start may be solved with new key!

Well I had previously posted that my 2000 alero was having the problem with the security light which was getting increasingly bad with every week. I was told by the dealership that I needed a $300 ignition. I decided to try my spare key and I haven't had the problem since and it's been a couple months now. So I would recomend trying if you are on a fixed budget anyway. But I couldn't be that lucky. Now my blower did that "thing" where the first two settings went out then two days later the whole thing went. It looked like the fuse was blown but we replaced it twice and when we started the car something went POP. So I was told I had a short somewhere. My passenger door still leaks water, my gas gauge doesn't work, My belt which isn't very old squeels like crazy, my passenger side front end squeaks like a strut or something is bad when I go over bumps, but I was told they looked fine, and now my driver side wheel area has a high pitched noise I noticed when taking off slowly through a parking lot. So if you have any advice other than the obvious(getting rid of it) 'cause I can't afford to loose three or four thousand which is what I'll do if I trade it in!!
